        Coastal Data Access, L.L.C., has been providing solutions for medical office telephone management since 1997. A Limited Liability Company since 2002, it is managed by Sharon M. Hartwell, R.N., B.S.N., with Richard C. Hartwell, M.D., Ph.D. providing technical support.

        Sharon Hartwell is a Registered Nurse with a B.S.N. from Trenton State College. She has 22 years of experience in medical and surgical nursing and 16 years of experience in managing a busy private surgical group. This experience has given her the skills to organize and direct the critical aspects of reporting, documenting and alerting physicians who are involved in all aspects of patient care. With this background she is well qualified to provide those practical insights of data communication needed to perfect appropriate, concise and rapid interactive messaging to professionals whether by a phone or a wireless device.

        Richard Hartwell is a neurosurgeon in private practice who is keenly aware of the vital need for rapid and reliable access to pertinent clinical data in the critical business of patient care. In addition to his M.D. degree, he earned a Ph.D. in Biophysics and Theoretical Biology from the University of Chicago after beginning his training in bioengineering at Columbia University. He has extensive design experience in computer software and hardware from large scale integrated circuits to mainframes.
